Utah Ready for #4 Jamestown

Matt Komma October 20, 2017
October 20, 2017 Park City, UT The Utah Skatin’ Utes are back in Utah this weekend after a seven-game road trip to take on the Jamestown Jimmies in a rematch of a four-game series last season. The Utes and Jimmies met four times in their Division I debut seasons last season, with the Jimmies winning the series 3-1. This time around, the Jimmies are once again one of the nation’s best teams after being ranked 4th in the latest ACHA computer rankings released on Wednesday. The Jimmies are 3-4-0-1 on the season so far with four of their five losses coming against Minot State, the top ranked team in the ACHA’s top division. The Jimmies will be looking for payback after Utah picked up a 4-3 shootout win in Salt Lake the last time these two teams met. On Utah’s side, the Utes are happy to back home after spending the last couple of weeks on the road. They’ll have to wait another week to return to the Utah Ice Sheet however, as both games this weekend will be played in Park City. Utah is 3-6 on the season so far and will look to break their four game losing streak as they try to break back into the top 25 this season and make their way towards a national championship. Friday and Saturday night’s games will be at the Park City Ice Arena in Park City, UT. Friday’s game is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm MT and Saturday’s game will be at 7:00pm MT.
