Reed Hunter (F) Commits to Utah

May 23, 2016 Salt Lake City, UT The University of Utah Skatin’ Utes would like to announce that the team has received a commitment from forward Reed Hunter for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. Reed was born in Colorado Springs, CO and began playing hockey at the age of three. He graduated from Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, Utah in 2015, where he played four years of varsity hockey. He was awarded Academic All Star by Utah High School Hockey, as well as making the Utah High School Select Team and the Utah High School All Star Team for the 2013-2014 season. Reed played for the U16 AA Utah Northwest Regulators and the U18 AAA Tier 1 West Coast Renegades during his youth career. Most recently, he played for the Dallas Snipers in the WSHL during the 2015-2016 season. Reed is a hard-hitting forward who hopes to add his physical play to this year’s team as they make the transition to Division 1 ACHA. Utah Hockey would like to welcome Reed and wish him the best of luck in the upcoming season.
